Visit Seattle Hires Peter Andersen as Senior Director of Convention Strategy

SEATTLE – Visit Seattle welcomes Peter Andersen in the role of Senior Director, Convention Strategy, effective April 4, 2022. In this position, Andersen will act in a Revenue Manager role for all business generated by both the Visit Seattle sales team and the Washington State Convention Center (WSCC) team for the WSCC. Andersen will be responsible for maximizing the attendance and room night production of group business utilizing the WSCC to produce maximum citywide compression and direct optimizing revenue and space at WSCC.

He will play a vital role in Seattle’s tourism recovery this year and beyond.”

Andersen has over 12 years of experience with a wealth of knowledge of revenue management fundamentals. Most recently Andersen served as the Area Director of Revenue with Kimpton Hotels (Seattle and Portland). Prior to that he was Regional Director of Sales & Marketing with InterMountain Management, where he was responsible for eight franchised properties in Washington and Oregon. Prior to InterMountain, Andersen was Director of Revenue Management at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle, WA for over six years.

Andersen joins Visit Seattle as the organization continues to focus on tourism recovery by encouraging domestic and international visitors and amplifying all the things that make Seattle a must-visit, must-meet, must-see destination. Andersen holds a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and he and his wife Brittney live in Woodinville, WA. Outside of his professional life, you will find him enjoying wine tasting, travel, cooking and playing with “Jack,” their dog.
