Visit Seattle Appoints Kevin Clark, Argosy CEO to Board Chair in 2021

SEATTLE – Visit Seattle announces the appointment of Kevin Clark, president and owner of Argosy Cruises and Tillicum Excursion, as its 2021 Chair of the Visit Seattle Board of Directors. Clark began his term as Chair January 1 and will lead the organization’s Executive Committee throughout 2021. He was previously a member of the Visit Seattle Board of Directors from 2012-2017, and rejoined again in 2019, serving as the Board’s Vice Chair in 2020. Clark follows the successful chairpersonship of Keri Robinson, Area Vice President at Marriott International.

“I am honored to assume the role of 2021 Board Chair for the Visit Seattle Board of Directors,” said Kevin Clark, president and owner of Argosy Cruises and Tillicum Excursion. “I know very well the challenges that face the travel and tourism industry as we begin recovery in 2021. I look forward to working closely with Tom Norwalk and the Board to find creative and effective solutions for our world-class destination.”

Clark received a B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Washington. After a nearly 35-year career in public accounting, Kevin Clark joined Argosy Cruises in 2006 as president and owner. He has also served as a Board member at the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Washington Tourism Alliance, South Seattle Community College Foundation, Puget Sound Economic Development Council, and Seattle Waterfront Historical Society. In addition, he has contributed his time as a committee member for the Downtown Seattle Association, Passenger Vessel Association, Seattle Seawall, Seattle Department of Transportation, Seattle Rotary #4, and the Business Economic Development Center at the University of Washington.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kevin Clark as our 2021 Board Chair. Kevin represents attractions and cultural experiences, like Blake Island which are such a critical part of our industry,” said Tom Norwalk, Visit Seattle’s president and CEO. “As a prominent member of our Board for several years, and with his extensive expertise in the travel and tourism industry, Kevin will be an instrumental leader as he guides our organization and our Board through what is sure to be a uniquely challenging year of recovery.”

Visit Seattle also announced the addition of three new Board members for 2021 – Trey Lamont, owner of Jerk Shack, Zahoor Ahmed, chief financial officer and vice president of R.C. Hedreen Co., and advisory member Beth Knox, president of the Seattle Sports Commission.
