Seattle Convention Center

Seattle Ushers In The Future Of Meetings

In January 2023, the Seattle Convention Center (SCC) unveiled Summit, the Center’s $2 billion addition and one of North America’s rare vertical convention centers. Nearly one year after opening, Summit achieved LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, making it one of the country’s few convention centers to achieve this feat. Complimenting SCC’s original Arch building – and located only a block and a half away – the introduction of the Summit building nearly doubles the city’s meeting hosting capacity. This new meetings campus located in the heart of the city allows the Center to host co-located events, large shows, or several groups concurrently. Together, Arch and Summit usher in the future of meetings and conventions.

Seattle’s meeting hosting capabilities are amplified by exciting new hotel properties including Astra, Level, and citizenM’s recently opened Pioneer Square location. These hotels are fantastic additions to the city’s already diverse offerings including established convention hotels Sheraton Grand, Hyatt Regency, and The Westin Seattle as well as luxury properties such as The Fairmont Olympic, Four Seasons, and Lotte Seattle. Meeting professionals will enjoy approximately 7,000 hotel rooms within a six-block radius of the SCC campus.

Traveling to Seattle has never been easier. With increased lift to the city and a sprawling new International Arrivals Facility at SEA Airport, the city is ready to host meeting attendees from across the globe. Upon landing, attendees are able to exit the terminal and hop on Seattle’s electric-powered Link light rail for a 40-minute direct train ride to the convention and hotel core.

With the SCC’s meetings campus located in the heart of downtown, attendees enjoy seamless access to Seattle’s major attraction: stroll from either Arch or Summit straight to Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market and Waterfront; jump on the monorail for a three-minute ride to Seattle Center, the home of the Space Needle, Climate Pledge Arena, Chihuly Garden & Glass, and MoPOP; or take in a Mariners game at T-Mobile Park. While Seattle means business, exploration is highly encouraged.
