Visit Seattle Hires Kelly Amig as National Account Director

SEATTLE – Visit Seattle welcomes Kelly Amig as National Account Director, Midwest, effective February 22, 2022. In this role, Amig will be responsible for promoting and selling Seattle and the region as a convention and meeting destination for associations and corporations by generating approved leads for the Washington State Convention Center and hotel bookings from assigned Midwest market segment(s). She will be responsible for generating and managing sales leads and presenting competitive, creative bids to clients. Amig will be responsible for creating and maintaining a client base through relationship building and networks with association and corporate meeting clients.

With 30 years of experience as an astute, self-motivated and result oriented sales professional, Amig recently served as the Senior Sales Manager at Hyatt Regency Seattle. Her experience in the Pacific Northwest is vast serving the Midwest and Chicago markets as Senior Sales Manager at Grand Hyatt Seattle/Hyatt Olive 8, Account Director at the Westin Seattle, and National Account Sales Manager at the Doubletree Seattle Airport. Amig has a consistent history of meeting and exceeding financial and solicitation goals and she specializes in making genuine connections, strong collaborative and consultative selling skills, business development and account reactivation.

Amig joins Visit Seattle as the organization continues to focus on tourism recovery by encouraging domestic and international visitors and amplifying all the things that make Seattle a must-visit, must-meet, must-see destination. She will work with Visit Seattle’s convention sales and services team to create and maintain a client base in the Midwest market by attending tradeshows, sales missions, client events, networking meetings and local meetings.

Amig holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications Media/Public Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Outside her professional life, you’ll find her enjoying all beauty that the PNW has to offer, as well as, writing letters and sending care packages to her son that is currently serving in the Army at Camp Humphreys in Seoul Korea.
