Vegas Golden Knights vs. Seattle Kraken

T-Mobile Park

The 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic® will feature the Seattle Kraken hosting the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Park on New Year’s Day, 2024.

This game continues the tradition established by the NHL in 2008 of hosting a regular-season outdoor game on or around New Year’s Day. It will be the first regular-season outdoor contest in franchise history for the Kraken, and the first time either team has participated in the Winter Classic.

T-Mobile Park will be the fourteenth venue and eighth ballpark to host. This year will be the first time that the Winter Classic has been played west of the Central time zone.

A City of Inclusivity

You may already know this city as the place where grunge moved out of the garage and coffee culture became a global phenomenon. Or where fresh seafood and hoppy beers mingle on the table with locally found ingredients and Washington wine. Perhaps you know it as a place where misty days make the cozy season even better. Whatever your vision of Seattle may be, we hope you leave knowing this city as one that warmly welcomes all. No matter where you come from, what you look like, or whom you love, you can find community, acceptance, and opportunity here, even on a brief visit.

Seattle on Three

The allure of Seattle sports is driven by the people who surround it, both on and off the court. Go behind the scenes with Philipp Grubauer and Peter Mehlman as they explore a Seattle icon and talk hockey.
