Seattle Museum Month Offers the Perfect Staycation, Running February 1 – 28

Book now for half-off at more than 25 museums across the region

SEATTLESeattle’s famed museums and indoor attractions could easily fill an entire weekend or more, making Seattle Museum Month an ideal cost-saving way to enjoy a culturally rich weekend getaway or staycation. The deal is simple to redeem: just stay in one of nearly 70 downtown Seattle hotels to receive a Seattle Museum Month pass for up to four people, granting 50% off admission at all participating venues. And there’s still time to plan and book a visit, as the program returns for all of February. The full list of participating museums and hotels is available at seattlemuseummonth.com.

With half-off savings at these venues, there’s no better time for Washingtonians or those who live within driving distance for a visit to finally explore the full breadth of the region’s arts scene, history and culture – plus additional attractions like the Seattle Aquarium and Woodland Park Zoo. A family of four that visits Chihuly Garden and Glass, the Seattle Aquarium and MoPOP could save up to $146 on tickets, for example.

The wide variety of participating venues also allows guests to make what they want of the deal, be it a romantic couple’s trip timed with Valentine’s Day or a family getaway. With mid-winter break coming up for local schools, this program offers an easy way to keep the kids entertained (and even educated) for the whole week.

Seattle’s downtown hotels make for convenient home bases to visit these venues, too, but visitors can be strategic based on which museums they’re most interested in. For instance, if the Frye Art Museum and Seattle Art Museum are top of the list, guests might want to choose The Edgewater Hotel, Seattle Marriott Waterfront, or Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. Those who want to prioritize the Seattle Children’s Museum and Pacific Science Center might prefer the nearby Hyatt House Seattle/Downtown or Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Seattle Center. With so many hotels to choose from, there are plenty of options within walking distance of participating venues and at visitors’ preferred price points. A Seattle getaway’s never been easier!
