I like to read, and Estelita’s Library (241 Martin Luther King Jr Way S) in South Seattle is a great place to find a small nook where you can be by yourself. It’s a community library and bookstore focused on social justice—there are lots of historical reference books, and I like the vibe of it. For art galleries, Arte Noir (2301 E Union Street, Suite H) has a serene environment, and I really love the artists they curate. The WOW Gallery (600 Pine St) in Pacific Place has themed healing rooms that provide space to connect with yourself. They serve as a gentle reminder of how beautiful it is when we love ourselves enough to look within. And, of course, I’m proud of The Spa House by QueenCare (3702 S Hudson St #103) in Columbia City, which features facials, massages, and foot and hand treatments for pampering.
I love visiting Seward Park (5900 Lake Washington Blvd S) on Lake Washington. There’s a loop trail there with beautiful scenery; you can get your heart pumping by walking or biking the loop. It’s a really good place to reset.
I love to fill my home with plants, so booSH nursery (2311 S Jackson St) is a favorite. For comfort food, I love Communion (2350 E Union St), and I’m also a big fan of the sports bar atmosphere at Rookies (3820 S Ferdinand St). They know to bring the spicy pecan salad out when they see me!
