The Triple Door (216 Union St) does a wonderful job of getting all kinds of interesting performers, whether it’s comedians, music acts, or podcasts. The upstairs has this cool, almost noir-type bar, and downstairs is a proscenium theater with dinner. I also like Annex Theatre (1100 E Pike St) and On the Boards (100 W Roy St) for experimental works.
I’m a hearty diner person, so I love Lost Lake Cafe (1505 10th Ave) on Capitol Hill. Downtown, Alibi Room (85 Pike St #410) has really great pizza, and Il Bistro (93 Pike St A) is an upscale spot that’s great for cocktails. Near Seattle Center, Solo Bar (200 Roy St) is a classic theater hangout; you’re always going to catch performers from the show there afterward.
Ben Paris (130 Pike St) downtown has a fun, flirty atmosphere with upscale cocktails. For the freshest pasta, try Pasta Casalinga (93 Pike St #201) in [Pike Place] Market. And, of course, The Dressing Room (1530½ Post Alley) is part of the Can Can, and it’s the perfect location to go for a before-show drink. It has the environment of a speakeasy where you want to sit and chat for forever.
I always want to tell people everything about it, but a good part is the mystery. Expect fun song choices, incredible visual effects, great food, and a lot of fun.
