General Information

  • Please submit your request form with as much lead time as possible. At least 30 days’ notice is appreciated.
  • When submitting the press trip request form, please include the following:
    • A letter of assignment from the media organization you represent, if applicable.
    • Samples of previously published stories.

Hosting Assistance
Depending on the nature of the assignment, Visit Seattle may be able to assist with accommodations, suggested itineraries, ride share credits, passes to attractions, and more. Please note that complimentary arrangements are provided through the discretion of host businesses and are subject to the availability and interest of each property.

  • Complimentary accommodations include room rate and tax only – incidentals such as room service and parking are not included.
    • Please note: Accommodation assistance may not be available during high occupancy months of June, July, August, and September.
  • Complimentary meals are provided at the discretion of the host restaurant and may be offered to the journalist only, unless the host wishes to extend the invitation to additional guests.
    • Please note: Complimentary meals do not include gratuity and alcohol – please expect to cover these costs.
  • Transportation assistance is not guaranteed. When flight assistance is provided, journalists are responsible for covering airfare for any guests.
  • Hosting assistance will not be offered beyond one visit per story, per year, unless pre-arranged by the PR Team.
  • Itineraries may not be altered once final. Media are responsible to notify venues if they are running late or cannot make a scheduled activity.

Post-Trip

  • Upon publication, please provide copies/links of the related coverage.

  • In consideration of the opportunity to participate in activities arranged by Visit Seattle, and by actually participating in all or any portion of them, each person who participates in any activities or whose representatives participating in activities, on his/her/their own behalf and on behalf of his/her/their representatives, indicates their/his/her agreement to (1) assume all risks associated with their/his/her travel to and from the listed locations and its/his/her participation in the activities described in this document and (2) irrevocably release from, waive and agree not to sue Visit Seattle, its personnel, and any venues, activity providers or other entities set forth in this document, for any claims, damage, costs or liabilities, including for death, personal injury or property damage, they/he/she may have or be entitled to recover, whether known or unknown to them/him/her at the time agreement is indicated. This assumption, waiver and release extends to any such claims, damage, costs or liabilities arising from Visit Seattle’s negligence or that of the other released persons.
