Visit Seattle Launches New Marketing Campaign Inviting Locals to Rediscover Downtown  

The “There’s Never Been More to SEA” campaign aims to show regional residents what they’ve been missing in the city’s vibrant downtown

SEATTLEVisit Seattle, the official destination marketing organization for Seattle and King County, is proud to announce the launch of a new campaign aimed at inspiring locals to rediscover the vibrancy of downtown Seattle.  

Informing locals that “There’s Never Been More to SEA,” this campaign celebrates the exciting evolution of the downtown core, from the stunning new Waterfront Park and a more pedestrian-friendly Pike Place Market, to acclaimed restaurants, a thriving arts community, and world-class live music and theatre performances. 

“As a destination marketing organization, we typically promote Seattle to audiences outside of the region, but with this campaign we’re inviting locals to rediscover the things they love and explore all the new additions to the downtown core,” said Stephanie Byington, SVP & chief marketing officer for Visit Seattle. “Increased visitation, especially in our shoulder season after summer, supports businesses small and large, from mom-and-pop restaurants to cultural institutions. Uplifting the downtown community and its reputation is one of our primary goals.” 

The campaign brings together dozens of downtown stakeholders including small businesses, restaurants, bars, arts organizations, attractions, hotels and more with a Perks Pass, offering a curated collection of 40+ discounts and special offers for a day trip or staycation. Whether guests are looking for a budget-friendly outing, a family adventure, date night, or a weekend of indulgence at the spa, the Perks Pass provides top recommendations and deals for experiences that can only be found in downtown Seattle.  

That includes a discounted tab deal from the recently opened WeRise Wine Bar, which showcases diverse, underrepresented wineries from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other minority winemakers.

The Perks Pass also highlights the variety of arts and culture performances that make downtown the city’s cultural hub, such as those at the Seattle Rep, with four upcoming productions built by local artisans and Pacific Northwest talent.  

“The rest of our 2025/26 Season celebrates not only the stories on stage, but also the vibrant Seattle creative community that makes them possible — each production filled with riveting plots and unforgettable characters,” Seattle Rep Artistic Director Dámaso Rodríguez said. 

By encouraging local exploration, this campaign not only helps drive foot traffic and vibrancy downtown, it also benefits the broader region; local spending contributes to essential public services across King County, including housing, transportation, and the arts.
