The FIFA World Cup 2026 runs from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, July 19, 2026. Seattle will host six matches, including group-stage games and knockout rounds.
All Seattle matches will take place at Seattle Stadium (Lumen Field), a world-class venue in the heart of downtown with a capacity of about 69,000. It is home to the Seattle Seahawks (National Football League), Seattle Sounders FC (Major League Soccer), and Seattle Reign FC (National Women’s Soccer League).
Yes! Lumen Field is famous worldwide for its loud and festive atmosphere. Seahawks fans once set the Guinness World Record at 137.6 decibels — as loud as a jet engine! Beyond the current record, it’s known as one of the loudest sports venues and will bring incredible energy to the 2026 World Cup matches.

Seattle is one of the few FIFA World Cup 2026™ host cities with a stadium in the heart of downtown, making it remarkably easy for fans to get to matches and celebrations without a car. Visitors can walk, bike, ride the bus or streetcar, hop on a ferry, or take advantage of Seattle’s expanding light rail system, including new and improved routes that make getting around the region faster, easier, and more convenient than ever.
Yes! There will be four free, official Fan Celebrations throughout Seattle. The Seattle FIFA World Cup 26™ Local Organizing Committee (SeattleFWC26), in partnership with the City of Seattle, Seattle Center, Friends of Waterfront Park, Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Reign FC, RAVE Foundation, Seattle Mariners, and BH Properties announced an expanded approach to fan celebrations for FIFA World Cup 2026™. In Seattle, fan celebrations will take place in multiple downtown locations, including Seattle Center, Waterfront Park, Pacific Place, and Victory Hall (in the SoDo neighborhood, near Seattle Stadium).
Nine communities statewide will host Fan Zones with big screens, entertainment, food, and local vibes. These are open to the public and perfect for watching matches if you don’t have stadium tickets.
