Good Sports

Known for its enthusiastic sports fans and world-class venues, Seattle is one of the best cities to catch a game.

Head to the eco-conscious Climate Pledge Arena (334 First Ave N) to cheer on the four-time championship-winning Seattle Storm (Women’s National Basketball Association; May–September), or the Seattle Kraken (National Hockey League; October–April), who sold 10,000 tickets in just 12 minutes before their inaugural season. Over in SoDoT-Mobile Park (1250 First Ave S) hosts the Seattle Mariners (Major League Baseball; March–September), while next door, Lumen Field (800 Occidental Ave S) stays busy as the home field for the Seattle Seahawks (National Football League; September–January), Seattle Sounders FC (Major League Soccer; February–October), and Seattle Reign FC (National Women’s Soccer League; March–November). In 2026, it will also host six FIFA World Cup matches, including a US Men’s National Team group stage match. Seattle is a great pick, given that it has one of the highest average attendance records in Major League Soccer.

Where to Watch

Looking to get hyped before the game or celebrate afterward with fellow fans? The food and vibe are on point at SoDo’s The Boxyard complex (1201 First Ave S), home to Hatback Bar & Grille, Steelheads Alley, and a beer garden with food trucks on game days. By Climate Pledge Arena, drop by sports pub Uptown Hophouse (219 First Ave N) for pulled pork sliders and craft beer. In Ballard, Rough & Tumble Pub (5309 22nd Ave NW) is one of the nation’s only sports bars devoted to women’s sports. Features include a deck, a fun atmosphere, and a big menu—including vegan options and zero-proof mocktails.
