BOWLED OVER

For old-school bowling, the 32-lane West Seattle Bowl (4505 39th Ave SW; wsbowl.com) has been a kingpin’s dream since 1948. In Capitol Hill, Garage Billiards and Bowl (*1130 Broadway Ave; garagebilliards.com) is a renovated auto repair shop featuring 20 bowling lanes and 25 pool tables in swanky digs.

GAME ON

Take the game night out at dice-rolling, card-playing meccas Raygun Lounge (501 E Pine St; gammaraygamestore.com), Blue Highway Games (2203 Queen Anne Ave N; bluehighwaygames.com), and Cafe Mox (5105 Leary Ave NW; cafemox.com). You can test out new board games or revisit old favorites—all while sipping local brews on tap. Meanwhile, at John John’s Game Room (1351 E Olive Way; johnjohnsgameroom.com) in Capitol Hill, delight in a dozen-plus vintage arcade and pinball games spread over two floors.

BREWERY HOP

One of the best ways to relax once the sun sets is with a cold pint of craft beer. Visit Seattle’s plethora of breweries, including Pike Brewing Company (*1415 First Ave; pikebrewing.com) and Hilliard’s Beer (*1550 NW 49th St; hilliardsbeer.com), for low-key hangouts.

SING OFF

Belt it out loud at Japanese-style karaoke lounge Rock Box (1603 Nagle Pl; rockboxseattle.com) in Capitol Hill. Things are more of a party up front, but private rooms provide quieter surroundings for gatherings with friends. In the Queen Anne tiki bar Hula Hula (106 First Ave N; hulahula.org), karaoke begins at 9pm every night and attracts an impressive range of singers. Bar patrons can be boisterous but are always encouraging, so order a flaming tiki cocktail and grab the mic.
