If you’re like me, some of your first thoughts when planning a visit to Seattle may be where to stay and where to eat.
With close proximity to Pike Place Market and access to a rooftop bar, The Charter Hotel Seattle, Curio Collection by Hilton is a great option for visitors and locals alike. Follow along as I take you through my must-try food spots in Pike Place Market—just a couple blocks away from your hotel!
Start your morning in Pike Place Market at one of Seattle’s most famous artisan-based coffee roasters. Storyville Coffee Pike Place has a beautiful atmosphere, complete with large windows and a warm fireplace. Make sure to grab a coffee with their house made coconut cashew milk, and then you’re ready to stroll around the market.
Located at a small counter inside of Pike Place, Daily Dozen Doughnuts is a hidden gem for fresh and warm mini-doughnuts. Spot them coming out of the fryer while you’re waiting in line, and don’t forget to try the maple bacon flavor!
Le Panier is famously known as one of the best classic French bakeries in the city. You can’t go wrong with any pastry here, but their Almond Croissant and macarons are always at the top of my list.
If you’re a cheese lover, you need to make a stop by Beecher’s Handmade Cheese. Watch them make their award-winning cheese right in front of you, and make sure to try their famous Flagship Mac and Cheese.
Just down the street from the main market sign is Piroshky Piroshky, a popular Seattle chain serving sweet and savory handheld Russian pies. Each pie is made from scratch, and the lines are always worth it. Try their famous Smoked Salmon Pate, or you can opt for something sweeter like Apple Cinnamon.
Ellenos opened their first stand in 2013, and they’re focused on local ingredients and Pacific Northwest flavors. Here you’ll find over 10 unique flavors of Greek yogurt to try, from Marionberry to Lemon Curd!
If you see a line around the block in Post Alley, it’s probably for Pike Place Chowder. Their award-winning clam chowder has 9 different flavors, including a vegan option. It is worth the wait, and don’t forget to pair the chowder with a lobster roll!
When you’re hungry for a snack, Mee Sum Pastry is where you need to go. While just a small street bakery just outside of Pike Place Market, they serve some of the best freshly made Chinese breads and dim sum.
After a long day of exploring downtown, treat yourself to an evening at Fog Room Sky Lounge & Terrace, the rooftop bar in The Charter Hotel. Located on the 16th floor, they offer stunning water views, signature cocktails, and delicious small bites.
