You live here, you work here. You make Seattle beautiful.

Seattle has been on the leading edge of curbside recycling, clean drinking water and many other green initiatives spanning the last two decades. In 2005, Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels launched the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement to advance the goals of the Kyoto Protocol. Mayors from nearly 900 cities have since joined Seattle in pledging to reduce harmful carbon dioxide emissions in their communities and urge governmental action.

Going green isn't just the right thing to do, it's a winning business propostition! Company after company, nation-wide, reflect the fact that going green actually adds to their bottom line! Businesses that implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) can take advantage of opportunities that don't exist for those with their eyes off the ball.

Here's just a short list of the great benefits you can realize for your business by going green:

  • Improve your business' brand image
  • Attract more new clients
  • Increase your profits
  • Lower your operating costs (utilities, waste disposal, etc.).
  • Increase your employee productivity, morale and retention
  • Reduce your suceptability to fluctuating energy prices
  • Lower your insurance costs

With so many benefits for your business, your community and your planet, it makes great sense to go green!
